This collection was a long time in coming. While Altavilla was a short-lived band, the music was authentic & passionate. Rarities offers a true glimpse into the life of this band not only showcasing their true alt-country roots but their rock and experimental side as well. Based out of Tampa Bay (Gulfport) there was always a thread of Athens, Georgia & hell-bent self destruction contained in Altavilla's DNA. The collection features every member who passed through the ranks:

The cover photo was recently discovered and seemed to sum up the heart and soul of the band (Dan & Te). The shot is from the summer of 2011 during the Atomic sessions. While Dan is daytime drinking and sinking into the light, Te stands at the ready ..in the dark. Hell yeah.

Altavilla was an Alt-country/ Rock band formed in Tampa Bay. They Recorded their debut album Juniper, in Athens, Ga. with Producer John Keane in June 2010. They were active in the local scene in 2010 to 2011. A second album, Atomic Sessions was aborted after personnel changes. They struggled to re-launch and briefly did so in 2013-14, playing their final show in Tampa on August 2, 2014... ... more
