Was the original description of this album, all true. After a "chance meeting" in late 2009 via Craig's list, Altavilla's false start solidified in the spring of 2010 as a 3-piece. After a brief 2 months of wood-shedding, the band went up to Athens to record their debut album. The 3-days in John Keane's studio and at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel were very revealing. After the sessions only Te & Dan were invited back. The band never capitalized on the momentum of this album and never properly released it in Tampa or elsewhere. After "hiring" guitarist Rob Osenton to play guitar of prewritten overdub parts for shows, the band's chemistry was irrevocably altered.

Nevertheless Juniper remains their crowning achievement and nothing can ever take that away from their legacy.

Altavilla was an Alt-country/ Rock band formed in Tampa Bay. They Recorded their debut album Juniper, in Athens, Ga. with Producer John Keane in June 2010. They were active in the local scene in 2010 to 2011. A second album, Atomic Sessions was aborted after personnel changes.
